Christina Kettman

Christina Kettman Clinical Intern

(she/her)

Christina is completing her Master of Arts degree in Couple and Family Therapy (CFT) at Antioch University, Seattle. She spent over 3+ years as a Parent Partner at Seattle Children’s Hospital working with caregivers in the Adolescent Partial Hospitalization Program and the Disruptive Behaviors Program.

While working with children, adolescents, and their families, Christina creates a neurodiversity-affirming space where every family member can feel seen and heard so that families can address patterns of behavior and explore emotions and solutions.

Christina embraces a collaborative approach to therapy and believes that we are all constantly growing and developing as we are shaped by our life experiences.

Therapeutic approaches she draws from include narrative therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectal behavioral therapy (DBT), structural therapy, motivational interviewing, and attachment-based family therapy (ABFT).

She is trained in Child-Centered Play Therapy (CCPT), her preferred method of working with young children because it honors that children communicate and process their emotions and experiences through play. Through the therapeutic power of play children can gain skills in problem-solving, independence, emotional regulation, and social skills.

When Christina is not working or at school, she enjoys studying German, baking, spending time with her family, and chilling out with her cats Zuzu and Cece.
