We specialize in working with those who experience themselves as different than the dominant culture and typical norm, or that exhibit behaviors that make it more difficult for them to be, and feel, successful.

All our clinicians are Neurodiverse & LGBTQIA+ competent. You can expect to find guidance from any member of our team if you struggle with anxiety, depression, trauma, parenting support, self-esteem, self-identity, gender-identity, gender affirming care, neurodiversity, intellectual disabilities, family conflict, life transitions, non-monogamy, BDSM/kink, and LBGTQIA+ challenges.

    Marie received their Master of Social Work with a concentration in Integrated Health/Mental Health Advance Practice from the University of Washington in 2013 and has been working in education, psychology, and social services for over two decades. She is a licensed Independent Social Worker through the WA Department of Health and Oregon Board of Social Workers.

    He is a Child Mental Health Specialist and Disability Mental Health Specialist, Practicum Instructor at University of Washington School of Social Work, and the Clinical Supervisor of our practice.

  • L.E JiBol (she/they), LMHC, CMHS, DMHS

    In 2014 L.E. received a Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology with a concentration in the treatment of trauma and abuse through psychodynamic and narrative modalities. Since then, they have gained experience working with a wide range of clients in individual and family therapy, crisis stabilization, and acute psychiatric care. L.E. currently provides telehealth only and works with clients 12 years old and up.

    L.E. believes in supporting clients in achieving their goals through strengths based, trauma informed, and culturally aware therapeutic relationship. Their modality is eclectic and informed by intersectional feminist theory and a commitment to antiracism. They are a trained Brainspotting clinician and a member of the Association for Size Diversity and Health. She specializes in neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ issues, PTSD, anxiety, depression, trauma, religious trauma, abuse, family or origin issues, and parenting support & coaching.

  • Katya Downey (she/her), LSWAIC

    Katya is a graduate from the UW school of social work with a concentration in clinical work with children, youth, and families. She has 4 years of experience working in mental health, with a particular focus on autism and neurodiversity. Her previous experience includes the UW Autism Center, Ryther, and the ARC of King County.

    Katya brings an energetic, strengths-based approach. She is a giant brain nerd, and uses psychoeducation and somatic practices to help people with the ownership and maintenance of their brains, bodies, and unique histories. She is also a giant dance nerd and has spent the past 2 years coaching pole dancers at Positive Spin - [ask her how to do the worm!]

  • Marissa/Mar Rodriguez (they/them), MSW, LSWAIC

    Mar identifies as a Queer, Neurodivergent, Latine and they are a graduate of the Clinical Social Work program at the University of Washington. Mar has specialized in working with Neurodivergent populations, and has over 6 years of experience working with Neurodivergent children, families, adults, and couples.

    Mar believes the most important element in supporting clients in reaching their goals is building a secure attachment in the therapeutic relationship where clients feel heard, understood, and comfortable exploring their most vulnerable experiences.

    Mar practices from a person-centered, anti-oppressive lens, and uses trauma-informed practices alongside narrative, somatic, and self-compassion techniques to support clients in the following areas: interoceptive awareness, child-led play therapy, LGBTQIA+ challenges such as gender and sexuality exploration, Autistic burnout, parent and caregiver support, life transitions, navigating AudHD executive dysfunction, ethical nonmonogamy, immigration experiences and acculturation trauma, and ambiguous grief and loss.

    Mar enjoys throwing pottery, baking bread, regularly using the phrase “silly goose”, being in nature, and taking their cat on walks.

  • Evianne Potts (they/them), Clinical Intern

    Evianne received a Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Sonoma State University and is currently a second-year graduate student at the University of Washington's School of Social Work. Since 2016, Evianne has had the privilege of providing educational and behavioral support to youth and families in a variety of roles and settings. Evianne greatly values creating a space of shared power and collaboration where clients feel liberated and uplifted within the journey of their personal growth and healing.

  • Steph Becker (she/they), MSW, LSWAIC

    Steph is a graduate of the MSW program at the University of Washington. They completed their clinical internship here at Holistic Child and Family. They have previously worked at Sound and YouthCare. Before entering the mental health field, they taught English Composition and spent some time working in the tech industry.

    Steph practices with a person-centered, neurodiversity-affirming approach. Her focus is on trauma and complex trauma recovery, as well as autistic and ADHD identity formation, gender and LGBTQIA+ challenges, religious trauma, and family of origin issues. She uses a humanist and existential approach that draws on narrative therapy and parts work. Steph also uses Brainspotting, and is level 2 Brainspotting trained.

  • Lydia Dake (she/they), MSW, LSWAIC

    Lydia received her MSW from University of Washington in 2023, with a concentration in Clinical Social Work. She completed her clinical internship at Holistic Child and Family and is thrilled to continue her career at this practice. Their academic background is based in clinical psychology, and they have experience in reproductive healthcare and domestic violence direct service.

    Lydia centers her practice around creating an affirming and inclusive environment, with a particular focus on neurodivergence, anxiety, depression, and trauma. She emphasizes creating authentic connections with clients and incorporates a number of modalities including parts work, cognitive-behavioral, narrative, and solution-focused approaches. Outside of work you might find Lydia at home embroidering or out on a walk, making frequent stops to admire the local plant life.

  • CJ Risman (they/them), Clinical Intern

    CJ is a second-year MSW candidate at the University of Washington. They previously worked in documentary production, helping share people's stories on HBO and Vice, before pursuing more clinical and personal work in the mental health field. CJ has a background in LGBTQIA+ crisis counseling, harm reduction, and community organizing. Their work centers identity, relationships, gender and sexuality, life transitions, anxiety, depression, trauma, family of origin conflict, and neurodivergence.

    CJ's approach to mental health is personal, relational, and societal; they believe in building support systems in service of individual as well as collective wellbeing. Pulling from ACT, parts work, relational-cultural theory, attachment theory, and somatic approaches, CJ takes care to meet every individual where they are at, believing that everyone is the expert on their own lived experience. CJ is also trained in EMDR, which can be woven into sessions to support the processing of difficult or traumatic memories. Outside of school and work, CJ can be found listening to music, dancing, or playing with their italian greyhound Pickle.

  • Sepideh Kittleson (she/her), Clinical Intern

    Sepideh received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Washington (UW) in 2004 and was in the field of neuroscience research and project management for over a decade. Sepideh is currently a third-year graduate student at the UW’s School of Social Work. As a first-generation immigrant, she has been a fierce advocate for the marginalized population to navigate the complex world of services. She is skilled at forming relationships with families across diverse cultures and religious backgrounds and has enjoyed supporting families in crisis.

    Sepideh recently finished a one-year clinical internship at UW’s Center on Human Development and Disability working with neurodivergent children and their families. The time spent there, volunteering in schools and her personal experience with neurodivergent children helped her develop a keen interest in this population. Sepideh’s approach to therapy is strength-based, person-centered and neurodiversity-affirming. She believes in a cooperative and collective approach in therapy and strives to promote an ethnically and culturally diverse and safe environment where clients feel safe, supported and empowered. Outside of school and work, Sepideh enjoys spending time with her family, playing table tennis, baking and trying new food.

    Sage received a Bachelor's degree in Psychological Science from the University of California, Irvine, and is currently a second-year graduate student at the University of Washington's School of Social Work. They have a background in crisis counseling, peer support, and power-based personal violence prevention. Sage utilizes a person-centered, strengths-based approach to support clients in reaching their goals, with particular emphasis on neurodivergence, LGBTQIA+ challenges, anxiety, depression, and religious trauma.

  • Emily East (they/them), Admin Team

    Emily supports with a little bit of everything, and you’ll almost surely hear from them if you’re a client with us. A huge nerd for bridges, Emily comes to our team from the world of Civil Engineering, and their brain loves all the problem solving that comes with supporting a small business. They enjoy reading fantasy books, crocheting and knitting, and are fascinated by linguistics.
