Emily East
Emily “Em” East Admin Team
(they/them)
As a client at our practice, you will almost definitely hear from Emily. They help with a little bit of everything outside of the therapy room - getting people scheduled, helping you understand insurance, setting up payment plans, supporting transfers of care, and answering questions about the practice and our clinicians.
Emily wants to make sure you get the answers to your questions and that you feel like you can reach out and get whatever support you might need. They don't stick to "professional" guidelines in communications, often leaving space to insert jokes or commiserate about insurance being frustrating (because when is it not?).
They know that asking for support can be difficult, that conversations about money are uncomfortable, and that executive functioning can sometimes (or always) not-function. Emily’s general take on things is that we are all doing the best we can, and we can work through road blocks and sticky spots together. There’s no need for shame spirals, we’ll figure it out :)
Emily loves numbers and bridges and is always down for a game of Set or 24. They love the logistic chaos behind large scale construction (especially bridges of course!) and spent a couple years working on the SR520 retrofit. They are an avid knitter and find one of the biggest events of the year to be the local yarn crawl. Please talk to them about yarn and your latest creatation. Emily loves reading, is fasinated by logistics, and loves sitting on the porch chatting with friends.
Books Emily Loves:
Legendborn — Tracy Deonn (magic, intergenerational trauma, grief, sweet battles)
Hazelthorn — C.G. Drews (horror, dread, gay yearning, autistic rage)
Psalm for the Wild-Built — Becky Chambers (a warm hug)
