Katya Downey
Kathleen “Katya” Downey LICSW
(she/they)
Katya is a graduate from the U.W. School of Social Work with a concentration in clinical work with children, youth, and families. She has 6 years of experience working in mental health, with a focus on autism and neurodiversity. Her experience includes the UW Autism Center, Ryther, and the ARC of King County.
Katya is a nerdy goofball with lots of energy. She loves: citing her sources, laughing together, and noticing what's going on somatically. She'd love to tell you about the cool study she just read about (and immediately point out the limited ability of *any* study to perfectly explain how it feels to be you today).
When she’s not in the office, you can find her teaching pole at Positive Spin Pole Dance, taking long walks, or reading comics.
