Marie received their Master of Social Work with a concentration in Integrated Health/Mental Health Advance Practice from the University of Washington in 2013 and has been working in education, psychology, and social services for over two decades. She is a Licensed Independent Social Worker and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor through the WA Department of Health, as well as a Child Mental Health Specialist and Disability Mental Health Specialist.
Beyond his professional degrees, Marie also serves as a Practicum Instructor at the University of Washington School of Social Work, Antioch University, City University, Bastyr University, the Seattle School, and Prescott University; is part of the University of Washington faculty as a Clinical Instructor; and is the Clinical Supervisor of our practice. She provides trainings and presentations in the community as well as consultations centered around neurodiversity and gender-affirming care.
Marie is an openly Autistic, polyamorous, and pansexual comedian and producer based in Seattle. Whether onstage or behind the mic, Marie is on a mission to cultivate authentic connection, subvert expectations, and build community through laughter. They are a half-Betazoid raising half-Klingons and encourage anyone to come to our space and discover strange new worlds together!
