Donovan Mason
Donovan Mason Clinical Intern
(he/him)
Donovan is a second-year Master of Social Work student at the University of Washington.
As a queer person with ADHD, Donovan brings both lived and professional experience with housing and food insecurity, disability, and navigating systems that don’t always meet our needs. Grounded in this background, he believes that clients are the experts of their own journeys and that healing work must attend not only to the individual, but also to the broader systems we live within.
Donovan primarily works with clients exploring life transitions, relationships, trauma, and identity. His approach is rooted in humility, curiosity, and collaboration, drawing from strengths-based, narrative, and somatic practices. He values flexibility and creativity, tailoring sessions to the unique needs, rhythms, and ways of thinking that clients bring.
Outside of the therapy space, Donovan enjoys rock climbing, yoga, and creative projects–from crochet to interior decorating to woodworking–all of which help him stay grounded and remind him of the importance of balance and play in life.
