Emily Martin

Emily Martin Clinical Intern

(she/her)

Emily Martin is a second year Master of Couples and Family Therapy (MACFT) student at Seattle University. She comes to this work from the worlds of theater education and early childhood education, both of which nurtured her wild curiosity in human connection. Through her studies at Seattle U, Emily works with many different therapeutic modalities but is continually drawn toward narrative approaches, finding so much power in the stories that construct and shape our understanding of our lives. Regardless of the modality, Emily is always queer- and neurodivergent-affirming, with an emphasis on disability justice.

Emily M has endless respect for children and their parents. She hopes to create opportunities for children to experience genuine collaboration in getting their needs met and for their parents to be heard and upheld with the utmost admiration and care.

Emily is also non-monogamy affirming and happy to work with clients navigating their feelings about love, sex, and relationships.

In session, you can expect Emily to have a soft voice and a quiet, peaceful energy.

Outside of sessions, Emily loves to bike commute, make dinners with friends, sew/mend/upcycle, and practice aerial silks!
