Marissa Thirion
Marissa Thirion Clinical Intern
(she/her)
Marissa is a second-year Master of Social Work (MSW) student at the University of Washington. She earned her undergraduate degree in Psychology and brings a background in clinical and implementation science research focused on autism and school mental health. Her experiences include supporting autistic youth and adults through peer support groups, school-based interventions, research, and community engagement. As a queer and neurodivergent person herself, her work is grounded in a commitment to disability justice, collective liberation, and expanding equitable access to affirming mental health care!
Marissa enjoys working with youth and adults from a strengths-based, person-centered, and neurodivergent-affirming perspective. Guided by narrative, Gestalt, and systems approaches, Marissa hopes to work collaboratively with clients to create a space that embraces curiosity and honors strengths, identities, and lived experiences!
Out in the world, you'll likely find Marissa exploring the outdoors through hiking, biking, or paddleboarding, or expressing her creativity through photography, sewing, and painting. At home, she's usually accompanied by her two rabbits, Pants and Margaux.
